Bluzelle Upgraded to V9 on the Latest Stargate Version: Enhanced Features, IBC Connectivity, Osmosis Integration & more!
We are thrilled to announce that Bluzelle has been upgraded to, so far, the latest and greatest version of Stargate.

Key Highlights
Codebase Changelog: Our team has been hard at work implementing various updates and fixes to the Bluzelle codebase, including:
- Vesting support added
- Authz support added.
- Feegrant support added.
- Versioning and extended versioning now appear in the CLI
- NFT can now be created (there was a bug that prevented this).
- Now using Cosmos SDK 0.45.11.
- Dragonberry and Elderflower vulnerabilities are fixed. These were critical issues that made IBC vulnerable.
- Added support for a new mutable metadata URI for NFT’s and collections
- New Big Dipper that displays all NFT and Storage Transactions
- Added support to fork a new network from a network.
- Added support to fork a new network from a genesis.
- Fixed export issues so that a new genesis can be exported from networks with ease.
- Genesis exports now include a section for exported NFT data.
- Switched using go 1.18 for all builds.
New Chain ID and Versioning: As Bluzelle upgrades to the latest version of Stargate, we now have a “v9.0” tag on our chain’s git code, which uses the new chain id: bluzelle-9. Our naming mechanism aligns the version number with the chain id, and we may release minor versions while maintaining the same chain id in the future.
IBC Compatibility: Our chain now completely supports Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC), enabling secure and trustless data and asset exchange between different blockchains within the Cosmos ecosystem, a big milestone for the Bluzelle team. The IBC compatibility opens up an ocean of possibilities for DeFi services, including cross-chain token transfers, complex multi-chain interactions & more.
Osmosis Integration: Bluzelle is now connected to Osmosis (native token: OSMO), the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) in the Cosmos ecosystem, similar to Uniswap on Ethereum. Osmosis uses an Automated Market Maker (AMM) algorithm and smart contracts to match buyers and sellers without a central authority.
Redundant Independent Decentralized Relayers: We have set up multiple redundant independent decentralized relayers to relay frictionless IBC transactions between Bluzelle and Osmosis, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
Cross-chain Transfers: Users can now transfer BLZ tokens between Bluzelle and Osmosis chains, as well as send OSMO or other supported Cosmos-chain tokens between the two chains. These transfers are fast, take 5–10 seconds, and cost less than $0.10 for BLZ transfers.
Keplr Wallet Update: Keplr has been updated to support holding BLZ tokens in your Osmosis wallet and OSMO tokens in your Bluzelle wallet.
New Osmosis Pool: We have initiated a new pool on Osmosis, allowing users to convert between BLZ and Axelar’s USDC stablecoin. Trades take around 5 seconds and cost less than $0.25 in OSMO tokens. We encourage users to add liquidity to this pool to earn residual revenue from the 0.2% swapping fee and support the community. Restake.app Integration: Bluzelle is Live on https://restake.app/, allowing users to delegate the management of their tokens using our new Authz support.

Cosmos Registry Update: The Cosmos registry has been updated to reflect the latest updates, including new Cosmos and Tendermint versions and the new chain id.
We will soon provide a step-by-step guide on how to move BLZ tokens from the Bluzelle L1 chain and Ethereum BLZ ERC20, and vice versa (move BLZ ERC20 tokens from Ethereum to the Bluzelle L1 chain).
